This council requires an officer to provide a comprehensive Welfare Rights Service to eligible persons within the Borough.
Key Responsibilities
To tackle poverty through income maximisation for the most disadvantaged groups in the community To provide an appeal and representation service for known service users To carry out home visits to vulnerable residents including elderly and people with physical and mental disabilities
The ideal candidate will....
Have a Criminal Records Bureau check (or one pending) Have the ability to carry our benefits calculations Have knowledge of current regulations and legislation around Social Security and Welfare Benefits Have a minimum of 2 years experience in the whole range of Welfare Benefits
